thanks for the flattery, but i think i'll pass. would rather just help out when i may know something.

Gotta come bigger that HPC SD. I think just east of HPC there was a camp in Fiftone. I have a buddy Mark, who actually did his dissertation on Turpentine camps from the turn of the century. He was mad about that stuff.

SO. No more STH game.

for fun, and an easy one.....

OK. I'll play, SOME, but it has to be a back and forth.
Two more questions. one hard, the other easy.

Where did JJ get his first electric guitar(pretty sure it was his first from past accounts), & what color was it?

Where did the infamous car wreck occur, and who was in the car? And when?

oh, and i miss Home Sweet Home.

Lovin' me some Mofro Trivia this morn...

I know the guitar came from Western Auto, can't remember the color. Im thinking it was red if memory serves me correctly. I loved when he would break that thing out at shows back in the day...

Not sure of the location of the wreck, but I do know it was back in 2001 and they were on their way home from a tour, and JJ's wife was in the car and suffered the worst injuries.

JJ stands for John John.

I think the first album was Gold & Platinum. His sister bought it for him.

Favorite color is purple.

Speaking of JJ's story telling, is K.D.'s nite limit or minute still open? It is the jookhouse he talks about in Baldwin Florida next to his grandparent's trailor park, I think.

Ah, now I remember, yes, I think it WAS a Lynyrd Skynyrd album, but Im thinking Hollis is right, it was "Pronounced Leh-Nerd Skin-Nerd". Not 100% sure though.

K.D.'s isn't open anymore, but the building is still there. Last I heard JJ mention it, there was a daquiri type bar there now called Frozen Paradise or something to that effect.

Bamboo Fiasco - Seems like I remember a story he told about it in one of the shows, but those brains cells are loooooong gone. Something about a fight? Outside? For some reason Im picturing a junior type incident, or maybe a junior reference when he told the story. Who knows though, this is all a stab in the dark...

Goddam y'all got me busting at the seams laughing.

I got another one. Jimbo, skot, Hollis and stan are excluded...too easy for them.

How many female band members have there been in Mofro (touring members, not studio)?
Can you name her (or them)?
What instrument did she (or they) play?
Bonus: when was she/they with the band?
Bonus bonus: who replaced them?
Bonus bonus bonus: are there any recordings with her/them?

Ah, the Bamboo Room Fiasco. The owner of the club and JJ got pissed because a bunch of people (actually a bunch of my friends...I wasn't there as I was living in Athens, Ga at the time....saw the show the night before, but had to leave the next morning) were making a bunch of noise.....one of the groups Bday party that night (the wife of a Bamboo Room employee). Both the owner and JJ told them all to "SHUT THE FUCK UP!"...although JJ later apologized in an email to the old mofro listserver. Sumpin like that anyway.
