We were predicted to recieve about 6 inches, but whoa were they wrong!! I will give you the condensed version the best I can. I did keep a journal of the weekend and it is over 10 pages long.

I was picked up by the Snow Taxi Friday morning. It snowed about 2 inches while I was at work. Driving home in the Snow Taxi was very cool, ya see I am a weather weenie when it comes to driving in the snow/ice. We came across a fallen tree and just road over it!! got home and the kids were out sledding. We lost power about 2pm Friday and has a BLAST with no power. Candles everwhere!! We had 3 downed trees, a mega amount of downed branches. Our 2 70' pines were bout striped of awl their branches. We had a far in the farplace for almost 28 straight hrs. We set up our camping mattresses and we all slept by the far and Gregg and I took turns keeping it stoked. We pulled out our coleman coffe machine so we could have coffee in the morning. To our displeasure, the power came back on Saturday at 10:30am. Many folks, including Sandman and my sister, will be without power til Wednesday. We ended up with anywhere between 14" and 18" depending where you were in the yard. Angel had an amazing time in the snow!! A 4WD truck tried to get out of our holler Saturday and got stuck in the ditch on our one lane road, blocking it. It was pulled out by a tractor after a second attempt failed. We now have about 1-2 inches of ice under about 10 inches of snow on our street. I have made a slide show of 20 pictures. I hope you enjoy!!! I know I did. and don't worry, you can read the full version when my book comes out, lol!!

I ain's discouraged none..........got my forrester out of the holler yesterday, but had to park it at the top by the mailboxes (along with 4 other vehicles) because the road is still covered in ice. so I was able to go shopping for a catering gig for tormorrow - smoked salmon with a lemon basil aioli and some of our pulled pork. now just to get down 5 grocery bags down back into the holler....I LOVE the adventure of it awl!!

When I have to park at the top of our driveway because of snow and I have groceries, I put them on the kids' sleds, push and away they go. It's a hoot as long as I don't send the eggs a flying. Anyway beautiful pictures. I love how you catch dew drops and water with the sunshine peeking thru in so many of your shots. Congrats on the set list.

Thanks, I love taking pics using dew drops, shadows, and clouds, just about anything......I just go on walks in my yard and as I look around, I try to imagine what certain views would look like as a photo. Then I take a bunch of shots at different angles and settings. Sometimes I am pleased with the outcome and sometims not. But I dew keep on trying.

I thought about the whole sled thing, but one wrong turn or bump and they would most likely go over the edge and into the neighbors yard.
