I mentioned this in another thread but thought maybe I'd open a new one. Is there any interest in doing a setlist pool (or fantasy 'fro as skot called it) for the NYE show? On the one hand everyone's busy right now and I don't know if we'd have many entries. For the Ybor show we had 6 ahead of time and Giggles badgered another 6 people into entering ahead of the show.

On the other hand this show is being webcast. So everyone can keep their scorecard as they go along. Could be cool.

I don't have any more signed CD's but I bet I could get JJ to sign something for the winner.

Here's how it worked last time: Setlist Ballot

(Here's the old Ybor pool thread if'n anyone wants to go back and read it. For those who missed it, Delerious Tyme was the winner! http://www.mofrofans.com/board/board_topic/5292004/483650.htm)

Oooo! Oooo! Oooo! I love setlist pools!! =)
Badgered??? Badgered??? I meekly and mildly inquired if anyone else wanted to participate......mind you, I did it on an endless loop until my prey gave in and grabbed a pencil and started scratching out song names just in the hopes of making me go away....but I don't consider that badgering! :p

For them's of you that ain't board posters, please shoot me an email to let me know you're interested. That way we'll know whether or not we got enuf people to do it. clay@mofrofans.com

Gotta have more everybody! It may not be the best time of year to do this. The site's pretty slow. Can't do it with only 5, we need to get at least 10 and I need to know by Wed a.m. so I can get everything prepared for it.

Will be an interesting set list pool if we get it going. Seems like anything is possible for them to play on the New Year's runs since they play three nights in a row. That and having off the for a good amount of time along with changing up the set lists quite a bit from the last time we did a pool when they were picking from just a select few. Could get a little nutty around here???

Have a good time to all ya'll that are going, wish I could be there!!!

I dun run outta time y'all. So I need a volunteer to coordinate this. It ain't hard. I've got the ballot page put together--NYE Setlist Contest Ballot--so it's all set to go (except the deadline...I figured I'd let y'all determine that.)

When you fill it out and hit the submit button it gets emailed, usually it would come to me. But in this case it ain't got nowhere TO go cause I'm running round like crazy between work and getting ready to go on 2 trips and we're leaving Thurs a.m. (Our cats are smart enuf to handle it but there's that whole opposable thumb thing. And the mouse thing. They just can't seem to get past that. Our cat-sitter has thumbs but ain't a Mofro fan. )

So, can someone step up? I'll need an email address to hook into the ballot autoresponder. It won't be public or disclosed or spammable. Then same person will need to determine the winner at the end.

I can actually set it up to go to more than one email address if y'all want to do that too.

Lemmee know!

This is great. I've got 2 emails ahead of you Kimberly. Sunshine and TN_Cracka both stepped to the plate. Thanks guys! So for now let's just say the CONTEST IS ON! (Kimberly, you'd probly count one of the entries twice.)

Hurry now, make your setlist and get it done by tomorrow.

DO NOT POST IT HERE! The parameters and the place to put your picks is here: --NYE Setlist Contest Ballot--

Kimberly??? Confused???? Oh my!

From the way I understand it is that the camera rolls at 10, opening band is about 10:15, and Mofro probly around 11:30. That's EST. Subtract 3 hours for each of those times Kim. Be sure and turn the calculator to the ON position.

Good quest Sunny. I'd say yep, 8 p.m. EST.

Aww man, JJ brought back Gotta Know for the Encore last night. First words out of my mouth were, "are you serious? Holy Shit!" Awesome, absolutely AWESOME! And Clay, yes, we all saw you in the front with your hat and especially at the beginning of this song when you took it off and held it high. Wish I had a front row seat to see the guys play Gotta Know. Hopefully this is a good sign for it to show up on the next album.

Congrats Helix! Enjoy the prize when you get it! I'm sure Clay has it already and will get it to you soon!

I have a feeling that nobody had Gotta Know anywhere on their setlist. I could always be wrong, but that was a true surprise. It was as if JJ was looking at the site and saw a setlist contest only to say to himself, let's make that interesting and throw a curve ball in there. Like I said on a previous post, next thing you know, they are gonna pull out Gimme That Drop!
