JJ's solo version of this song on "Choice Cuts" absolutely melts my heart, every time I listen to it....

he does amazing work here folks! He must be singing not only to/about Simmone, but Sage as well, as the emotions that can be felt by every note he plays on every instrument to the feelings that shine thru as he sings every word from this ballad.......

Not to mention that it is quite a refreshing change to hear the studio versions of his choice cuts.

:o)

tupelo honey really is a great song, great lyrics and when somebody can pour their emotions into it, its amazing, jj is just right for that
there was a restaurant up in sea cliff,NY ,where i used to live, would go there all the time, they have a streetfest in october and my girlfriend would sing tupelo honey, people would cry

simone indeed is a very special lady to have her man sing that song to her

I know it's cheating, but I bought the single from itunes. I will buy the LP, but for now I am enjoying the tune guilt-free on the ipod.

I'm already having withdrawals Sunshine and thanks for the heads-up tox. I bought the LP mostly for Tupelo Honey and need to repair the turntable that is buried somewhere in the basement. I've been dying to hear it and will now download for my listening pleasure (much to my daughter's chagrin). Hey giggs, I was wondering what that ringing in my ears was ;0)
