hey sorry its taking me so long, hope you weren't glued to the computer all day waitin for me... :)
so after missing my flight because of a flat tire i got to the airport , tryin to get on a different flight on stand-by. they tell me there are no seats left and my only option is a 6pm flight, but would make me miss the show, ao i was kinda bummed, i started to walk away, not really knowing what to do. the call me back and say I can get on a flight to dallas but I gotta run, flight leaves in 20 min. no problem, i run to the security checkpoint and they search the shit out of my shit, like they are taking everything out of my bag. i hear the announcement for final boarding. so my stuff is all good but i have no time to pack it, so basically stuff it all back into my bag , grab the whole thing in my arms and start running, shit was fallin out left and right. BUT i made the flight, connected in dallas for NY. 3 of my girlfriends met me in the city, 2 of them have seen mofro 2 times before, but my one friend hasn't. I told her about it when i saw them last year in NY. so this time she made sure she came. she is a musician herself and she loved every minute of it. its just soo much fun watching a show with somebody that is seeing jj and mofro for the first time. the opened with higher you climb, they did blackwater and dew drops. my one girlfriend has been listening to OB a lot and she knows all the words so we were singing from the top of our lungs. those boys just bringing EVERY time, don't know how they do it. jj was wearing these cool looking reddish boots, i didn't take a pic . my friend was especially impressed with the tightness of AC and andrew , and the horns. but we were loving ALL of it. danny's lovely lady was at the show, ( he wasn't because he had to work) I bought the vinyl, talked to anthony F. and AC . i have to say that the venue was great but thye soonest the band left the stage, they were throwing people out, I couldn't even snag a setlist. and regarding shuckin footer, not sure if he overplayed himself again but i had the feeling the mofro got cut short at the end because they came out with the encore of mojo but usually jj would do somehting slower and than finish us of with somehting rockin. so not sure what the story with that is, also i thought that the place wasn't that crowded, which was nice for dancing purposes but i kept wondering if the whole triple bill bullshit was hurting our boys in the ticketsales.
it was great night, lots of fun !!!

wonderful review Firefly!! I sure hope our boys perform Blackwater when I see them next week!! Always glad to hear about Mofro virgins!!!

For those who may not have looked at the pic thread for this show, or for those who think Firefly wasn't really there and is making all this up (she's been known to do that), she's in this pic. She's a little left of center stage about 5 "rows" back, with a white beret on (and looking fine!)
