The mofro.net site just posted info today on who's opening and closing the co-bill tour with Shooter. For the most part JJ & the boys will be the final act. YAY!
Rather than list the ones that Mofro is closing, it's shorter to list the ONES WHERE SHOOTER IS CLOSING:
Lexington
Cleveland
Covington
D.C.
Knoxville
Memphis
Soulive is closing the Detroit show.

Good question hh. If you take the D.C. one out they're kind of all in one geographic loop. Maybe that's where Shooter has the strongest fan base??
Or maybe they did rock...paper...scissors and Shooter really sucks.

Thanks Ya'll for the warm welcome!I am on my work computer and should be doin somethin! Little hung over from the great night last night at work play and keep wanting to go back! Stared on the Mofro adventure about 02-03. They used to be in B'ham all the time. Then started going to the ATL a lot. Then they went all over. I had a little boy in 04 and missed out on about a yr and 1/2. Once my son was in daycare and I got a grip on the mom thing, was back to it. Anyone going on the Jam Cruse. Kinda curious about that. think it might be fun.

yup some folks on here goin on the cruise, me and giggles, and the mofrofans-boardmaster with his trophywife.
as some might argue price and sense, i WILL promise you it will be the time of your life, especially with mofro on board!!
also a bunch of us going to new orleans for voodoo fest and mofro at tip's !!!!

Mornin ya'll! I did some diggin about the cruise. It looks very cool. Not gonna give up hope< would love to make it. Just don't know if I can make it happen this late. Maybe plan better next year. The voodoo fest looks a lot more likely. I will let you all know, would luv to meet up and party with the crew! Hope ever one has a great day!!
And yes FireFly, B'ham shows are the best!! Been to a few in the ATL and in Nashville but B'ham is always the best ever!! My four yr old and I jam out on the way in town ever morning. He loves him some Mofro too!!

Morning to you too!! My boys (12 & almost 6) and I also enjoy dancing to Mofro. I will be taking them to the Greenville Festival and they will finally be able to see in person why their Mama is so darn crazy about this group of fine musicians!!

Yes so far Denae I know of 4 of us going on Jam Cruise. And 3 of them are of the most crazy of any on this board. Lord help everyone. I know of a couple more people giving it some thought. And then there are them that I don't know of that are giving it thought. And then there are them that I don't know of that aren't giving it any thought. And, finally, there are them that dun gave it thought and said fuck that.

But now, to bring it back full circle!! As in the title of this thread. (We should have an ADD contest sometime. But who could we get to judge it?? Not me because I. And then my car battery. Hey was that a hawk?)
Annnnnyway (focus Clay, focus) if'n any of y'all are going to a show that JJ's headlining I hope you get more than us did in Fla. Goddam Scooter went over all 3 nights. We ended up with like 14 songs; JJ cut 2-3 songs off the setlist all 3 nights.
So, if it were me, I'd start screaming for him to do an encore before he's even finished. (He never takes his sunglasses off anyway so it's not like he can see you.) Like 30 minutes before he's supposed to finish get a bunch of people to scream encore, encore, encore! That'll confuse him and he'll go off stage...y'all keep yelling, and he'll come out do 2 more and that'll be the end of that.
Boom, bang, bing you get a full Mofro set.
Fuckin Scooter.
And that's really all I have to say about that.

Clay is right, Shooter played LONG every night of the Florida run. How is it possible to stretch one song out for over 2 hours??? I'm not kidding folks, after having seen Shooter for three nights straight, I am convinced he had a one song setlist.........either that or 20 songs that sounded all the same! I am actually hopeful that when Liz & I see MOFRO in DC, that they get to play a full set, since as Shooter has demonstrated there is lots of elbow room in the opening slot! :p And I will be BELLOWING at the top of my lungs for a MOFRO encore!! :)

hate to say that about somebody but pretty sure that jj wouldn't do that if he is the middle or first act, musicianship is a bitch.
his music wasn't that bad, and sunglasses or not, just don't care for musicians that think that they better than anyone else.
hope the mood is not too negative for the boys on the road.

You guys are toooo funny!! I luv it!! Ya Shooter did his thing the other night but I don't think he went over that long. I know the room was kinda bare while he was playing, all except for those redneck 19yrs old collage boys with fake ID's. But as soon as shooter finished JJ was center stage rockin it out!! And believe it or not scoot scoot did take his shades off. That is the only part I was interested in. I wanted to see if he DID have eyes! Couldn't never tell,,,

Indy show was GREAT last night! Crawled into bed at 2am and was at work at 7am. Now that I have experienced Scooter... I couldn't agree more. I just kept saying is he done yet? Just not my cup of tea. Thought you'd like to know, JJ's boots and Daryl's new dungarees complete with patch made it to Indy. We are still newbies to Mofro, only 3 shows in 8 months under our belts, but I lovem. I have been enjoying this site and your witty banter. Now time for a nap.
