Want to get a roll call going here. Also, my trophy wife investigated a little; Mavericks has a VIP area...it's upstairs and includes a wraparound balcony viewing area, its own bar, restrooms. It's an extra $10 ($30 ea instead of $20.)
For a less crowded bar and no lines for bathrooms we're thinking of going that route. During Shooter's show that may be a good place to hang.

TW said if you want to do the VIP tix you have to buy thru Mavericks site. We done bought tix from mofro.net. She's gonna find out if we can trade them in or gotta try to sell 'em ourself's. Then if anybody elstest wants to do the same thing you'll know.

I'm sure SW and I will be down for that...so ANYONE with an extra $10 can get in the VIP or is it somehow reserved for our crew? I paid a shit ton xtra for Halloween Horror Nights tix one year and the damn VIP lines were longer than the regular ones. That was the last time I went that route!

Here's the skinny on Miss Ellie's Bardello, as far as the info I've gotten from Maverick's event mgr:
Miss Ellie's is the VIP upstairs area @ Maverick's. If you go on their website, www.mavericksatthelanding.com, and take the little tour, you can see the balcony area. VIP tix are $30 vs. the regular tix for $20, and the VIP tix are only available on Maverick's ticketing site, not through Mofro's. VIP gets you up to the balcony area. There are addt'l restrooms up there (shorter lines), bar service, and a great view, and this is also the area that the bands, if they so choose, would do any meet/greet that night.
You may also notice that there are seating areas which are roped off - these “parlors” are reserved areas for bottle service. I've checked into this as well, and here’s the pricing on that:
$500 for 10 ppl, which includes reserved seating for up to 10 ppl, (1) bottle of liquor of choice + all the mixers to go with it. For 20 ppl it’s $1000, + (2) bottles, etc. So it goes pretty much in blocks of 10, and it works out to be $50 per person additional. They also have catering menus available
All told, here’s how it breaks down:
$20 = regular tix to show
$30 = VIP tix to show, includes access to Miss Ellie’s (see above). Also includes free access to the Twisted Martini after the show.
$80 = VIP ticket to show, includes access to Miss Ellie’s w/reserved seating & (1) bottle of liquor w/mixers for up to10 ppl. (note that the $80 is $30 VIP tix + $50 towards the cost of the parlor. $50 per person is assuming that you have 10 ppl to divide the cost. The fewer ppl, the more $$ per person)
If anyone is interested in doing the bottle service VIP thang, lemme know. I’ve been emailing back and forth with their events mgr to see what our options are.
Also, I am waiting to hear back on whether anyone who purchased regular tix and wants to upgrade to VIP tix can get a credit of the cost of the regular tix. I’ll let you know what I find out!

Skot, since this is in your hood, what are our best options for taping? Down rod mounting from the balcony (i.e. - Freebird), one "community" stand with clamp space for the Coalition, or every man for himself?

From the photos it doesn't look to promising for a balcony clamp. We might need to set up on the floor, and if so we should definitely get a coalition mic tree goin on one stand imo. Again though Im not sure, never been in there. Thinking of heading down there and scouting it out.

The landing has several restaurant/bar type places that would be perfect for a meetup... that way we're already there when its time to head over to Mavericks. For any of you folks that have never been to the landing, its kind of a mall type atmosphere, but with a beautiful view as its directly on the St. Johns River... They have a big outdoor area in the center, surrounded by shoppes and eateries.
Several good restaurants that would make a good meetup, theres a mexicana joint, a seafood joint, an american, burger type joint, pretty sure all of those have bars... but my personal vote would be H( . )( . )TERS! Sorry, couldn't resist the graphic, feelin frisky this week. Seriously though, thats probably the best place there to handle the rowdy & ready crowd Im sure we're gonna have put together... What do ya'll think?
