Honestly, I think this one is gonna be more fun than the other setlist deal. I cannot wait to see what people dream up.

I know there are gonna be some, "Holy shit, what a great idea!"...as well as some, "HUH? THAT'S JUST SILLY."

I have had a few in my compromised brain for a while now. Good call on this, Clayfer!

Otay kids, bumping this back up the board. I've extended the deadline til Sept 15 (same as the Dream Setlist Contest).

I ain't figgered out prizes (other than JJ signing the winning list) yet but will this week. I ain't figgered out judging criteria yet either. I know I won't take advice from Sunshine though. She'd probly recommend we have judges who are both sight and hearing impaired.

3 weeks to go!

We'll pause the debate over Giggles' language skills (or lack thereof) to say that I've extended the deadline for THIS contest to Sept 22. (The Dream Setlist Contest deadline is still Sept 15.)

I've finalized prizes for this too; hit up the link at the top of the page or the tab on the menu left. You could win a million dollars!*

Y'all didn't believe me when I said you could win a million dollars? Geez.

Here's the lowdown on how this is going. There are some really great cover songs on the setlists that have been sent in. Some I'd have never of thought of but I can hear 'em in my head being done by JJ and the boys.

Buuuut, either y'all are laying low until the deadline, or are too busy or are uninterested, or still working on it, because there are only 9 entries to date.

so im sittin here tryin to come up with my list to enter the contest...and i started thinking(i havent been to a show since feb. this year) does JJ ever play acoustic guitar during a show or is it just during solo performances, and is there a reason why?? maybe he does, but if not i think it would be something different and exciting to see him play acoustic guitar with the band occasionally.

Hey dweez. In the dozen shows I've been to this year he has not played acoustic once, except for the Surfin Snook Jam and all 20-something songs he did were acoustic, and of course that was a solo show.

I saw him play acoustic at the Bamboo Room in Jan 08 but I think that was a solo set. I don't recall seeing him do acoustic with the band before but there's plenty on the board that have seen a lot more shows than me. Some of them "old-timers" are gonna have to check in on this one (I mean been around the band a long time, not on this earth a long time like yours truly--I really AM an old-timer.)

I am really surprised that JJ doesnt do at least one song solo acoustic during a show. But then again, it'd slow down the pace a bit too much for me. It may be cool if JJ and Daryl played acoustics and AC played a Djembe or something for a song maybe during the first encore?? Art could add a sweet tenor solo.

I know he's done a Seminole Wind acapella once at a show a while back in the Southeast somewhere.

Also, Pray for Rain he has done solo a time or two, pretty sure with the acoustic.

She Don't Know on piano back it the day with Daryl as well.
