I'm trying to talk myself in to making this show. Does anyone know how long their set will be since they are opening?

Since Mofro would be opening, I'd guess 45 - 60 min set.

I'm with Stan. But also keep in mind that JJ will NO DOUBT come sit in with Mule for at least 2 songs...vocals and harp. Maybe more? I s'pose there's a chance Warren could sit on Mofro's encore but that may be a dream.

Debating whether to fly in on Friday or Saturday. I'll be solo, so I'm lkely to get into mischief if I come in Friday, maybe it's safer to just arrive on Saturday :p

Ya'll come to Atlanta and we'll take care of you. I guess Masquerade Music Park is otherwise known here as the Masquerade......and that's walkin' distance from my house. Here's where to stay and where to eat:

Stay: Highland Inn www.thehighlandinn.com - it's eclectic and cheap and near some great eats/drinks.

Eat/Drink: Manual's Tavern http://www.manuelstavern.com/ Great food and service - an Atlanta institution.

Party: Limerick Junction http://limerickjunction.com/ - Atlanta's oldest Irish pub

Breakfast: Flying Biscuit http://www.flyingbiscuit.com/ - you might not need lunch if you order the High Flyer....

Thanks for all the info SC. Will consider. Trying to keep my MOFRO trips as cheap as possible, as my 11 yr old will be getting braces in August. So the closer they play & have a relative to stay with is more doable at this time for us. That is why Nashville would have been awesome, Dad-in-law 12 minutes from venue, but kiddie functions prevailed. Chatty is about an hour from my sister.....still trying to work that one out. Hope y'all can get a bunch of us from the board down/over/up to Atlanta.

Dougloosa & Son (Adam) are in again, making a little side trip to HotLanta for the show. Sounds like a great lineup w/ JJ and Mofro followed by The Mule and then JJ's Buddies Hill Country Review. thought I saw where Mofro is on @ 5:45 followed by Mule @ 7:45 followed by HCR @ 10, but could be wrong. First chance to see the new lineup, looking forward to it. Might just have to write a review, but will need to get a set list, anyone know if Danny TM is back ( he saved one for me) traveling with the band, he couldn't have been serious about leavin for good!

Yo...good to hear from Beaufro and Dougloosa. We don't know if we're going yet or not but we're trying to work it out. Great to hear y'all are all gonna be there. I'm sure there are some others too that ain't spoke up yet. And then there's giggles. She may thumb her way from Philly.

Dougloosa, you're gonna love the 2 new guys. They're in the slot already and its sounding great. JJ's voice is at the peak of his career too, no doubt.

As for Danny, he's gone dude. He's working for the folks that put on the Central Park music series and who knows after that but returning to touring doesn't sound like it's in his cards. If he hadn't looked my in the eye and told me about it I may have my doubts, but he did and I don't. He'd like to settle down in one place and not a tour bus. That said, he's probably reading this. He's not ever far from the board. He's as avid a fan as any of us. (Well...maybe not giggles, or Liz, or FireFly, or...)

Its a no-go for Sue Webb and I...she will be in Sturgis, SD for work, so me making a road trip to see her favorite band without her would be kinda wrong and not nearly as much fun.

Clay - I don't know what the ticket situation is - I've look at the Masquarade site a few times, but haven't 'boughten' tickets yet. The show is outside in the lot behind the venue, so it seems like it might not be too difficult to get tickets now.

I'll look into it today.

Giggles: you are avid with a capital "A". (with a small "r" in front if it, and I say that as only another dedicated fan can!)

EStanley - I am officially breaking up with you and SW.

All I want to know is whether there's going to be syrup involved at some point. 'Cuz if there is, we may have to go no matter what!

TW, did I forget to mention that I have purchased a carton of wet wipes and a couple gallons of syrup? I could even throw bacon into the deal if that persuades you and Clay to make the trek =)

She must not have enuf work to do. I'm gonna have to call her boss.

Bacon yes, syrup no. I was doing just fine during that 3 a.m. breakfast soiree until I saw A.C. pouring syrup all over his hash browns. I seen people put syrup on sausage; even bacon. But I draw the line at hash browns and eggs. And I was relentlessly given hell about it. (Said hash browns are in the pic, and believe it or not he has sopped up the syrup with not only the hash browns but every damn thing else he had on his plate(s).) It's nasty. I think ever single person at the table was born north of the Mason Dixon line if that says anything. Well...except for FireFly but she won't give us the name of her home planet.
