I was wondering whether or not to post this message this evening or leave it for another time, but low and behold GimmeThatDrop posted a thread which, just by the title alone, gave me the sign that I must post it tonight. You will know why at the end of this post.

Of all things on a Saturday night, I was doing laundry, when go figure I got Mofro on my mind and stumbled across something to post on this message board, thus seeing how it works. As we all know, Clay is always tirelessly finding new ways to add to the best web-site on the net, period, I felt this one could fly as a message board post for a while and if it goes it goes, if not, the message board go on giving us just what we need each day to be a Mofro-Fanatic. If not, maybe it will change to “I’ve got the Mofro-Bug” or something else on down the line that someone else comes up with to provide something new and exciting.

With that, I’ve thought of posting a thread (or numerous threads with the same concept) where people can post something unique or something they find intriguing, all with regards to our experience/influence with the very reason for the site, JJ Grey & Mofro. In this post, something about Mofro which you noticed or experienced in your own life that fits in the phrase with a true and comedic variable. In other posts, maybe something having to do with concert experiences, meeting JJ stories, and the ideas are endless. Here is the first of threads in a series of stories only a band like Mofro could feed.

As I was doing my laundry, I noticed that other than my normal tie and plain oxford shirt I am required to wear to work, the only shirts that I wear anymore are Mofro, or Mofro related T-shirts(Festival shirts that Mofro was at, duplicate shirts). By duplicate, I mean shirts that I have more than one of for reasons like: they don’t make them on the site anymore so I ordered extra to have back ups/shirts; or that I have duplicated because JJ signed the other and there is no way I am wearing that shirt again(gotta keep it mint condition, right?). In noticing this, I found out that of the clothes I wear by my decision, my wardrobe per say, it is all Mofro. That is when I recalled a famous comedic quote and tied it together. (we all know Jeff Foxworthy, whether you like him or not, tweaking his staple with a Mofro twist is so much better) Hence the phrase.

“If your wardrobe consists of Mofro-Only merchandise, you maybe a Mofro-Fanatic”

To end it, GimmeThatDrop comes to mind and even though I have never met you or know you in any way other than this message board, if you are not a Mofro-Fanatic, I don’t know who is. I can’t wait to meet you one of these days when I finally get away from being stuck out in Arizona and join the fun of seeing JJ and the guys in Florida. To end gracefully on that, GimmeThatDrop, this one is for you, thanks for the idea.

“If you search and listen to enough live Mofro that you found an 80-minute version of Jookhouse, you may very well be a Mofro-Fanatic.”

Hopefully something will come from this, if I’m not crazy, I can’t wait to see what everyone new and hip to Mofro will come up with.

I guess the ultimate one of these would have to be:

"If your life is so consumed by Mofro that you start a Fansite, you may be a Mofro-Fanatic"

Hey, it's damn hard to argue with Clay being the #1 fan of Mofro and I sure wouldn't attempt to. It's one thing to talk about what you are going to do in life, it's another to actually do it. Clay is genuine in every sense of the word. Thank you for creating the site and giving it what you have and will going forth, the internet is fun again all because of you. "right on, right on"

I love it. DT I can see how doing your laundry inspired this. Have you ever thought of combining the 2? Show up at work with a Mofro shirt and the tie, and hang out in the white oxford and maybe a Mofro lid. Sorry, my mind works in such mysterious ways I don't even understand it.

Yeah, I either have such a boring life that I can do this in my spare time or I may just be a fan. But just maybe.

If you put together like 19 compilations disks plus an 80 minute Jookhouse compilation(!) then there is absolutely, positively, no doubt...you may be a Mofro-Fanatic.

DT, I think that is a grand idea. I mean this site is Mofro inspired, right? So one would think that any thoughts/ideas, happenings, memories, laundry, etc. that are fueled by ones admiration of JJ & Mofro would be welcome. For instance, the other night I had a very cool stream of dreams where I just went from one Mofro show to another. And at one, it was an outside venue and I picked a great spot on the hill up front and who sits down besides me, none other than Clay and his Life-size stuffed gorilla!! Not sure what it means, maybe Clay may have some insight.

If all your CD's in your car have been transformed into nothin but live compilations of Mofro......you may be a Mofro-fanatic!

If the only concerts you have been to in the last 2 1/2 years have been JJ Grey & Mofro.........you may be a Mofro-fanatic!!

I've got a fever...............and the only prescriptions is "More Harmonica!!!!"

Nice Sunshine, very true and much appreciated. Thanks.

If you pre-ordered more than 3 Orange Blossoms CD's from different sites before it came out to ensure that you had a copy of it as soon as physically possible, you may be a Mofro-Fanatic!

If your continuous playing of the CD "Orange Blossoms"

If while listening to a version of "Lochloosa", you can put yourself mentally back in time and not only name what venue you were at, but you can state what you were wearing, whom you were with, the band members at that time, and what the color of JJ's shirt was...and relive those moments..........YMBAMF! :O)

I think this was one that was lost... Here it is again, slightly re-worded I would assume, but the same concept...

If you visit this site 10 times a day, YMBAMF.

If you visit this site 20 times a day, you are most-likely a Mofro-Fanatic.

If you visit this site 30 times a day, you are a Mofro-Fanatic and you should probably clear your browser history before your Boss finds out you are on this site more than you actually do work.

If you visit this site 40 times a day, you are definitely a Mofro-Fantatic and it begs the question, is the last time you've seen the sun when you went out to your last Mofro concert?
