Definitely another great show last night with some new looks from the band. What a great three night run, man, makes me wish even more that I was there, but thank god for technology and the ability to see it on video. Last night had some great new additions to the set list. Like we talked about, JJ and the guys added another one that they had not played with the band yet. Made it a point to do it each night. First, Gotta Know, then King Hummingbird, and last night they brought out Tupelo Honey. Also, Nare Sugar showed up and I hope you saw it Kimberely, if not, you better get on to the archive and check it out. Also, She Don't Know, Wrong Side, A Woman, Footsteps/Turpentine, and The Sun Is Shining Down were played for the first time on the last night. And to end it all of, a great version of Harp & Drums with a young local kid on the Fender who falt out rocked. I didn't catch his full name, but I think his first name was Conrad? I'm sure someone else can clarify. All in all, what a return to the stage after the lay off. Good to have the guys back and true to form.

Conrad Oberg, from Jacksonville...He played all three nights, and really kicked ass on Harp & Drums last night.

Thanks BSR, Don't remember him playing all three nights, but I think I had him confused with Matt Grondin when he came out on the first two. Either way, Harp & Drums was ridiculous, both Conrad and the guys. JJ was wailing on the harp like a mad man!

And to make it even more amazing, Conrad is 14 years old & blind! During H&D he also went back and played a sick one handed solo on Anthony's Hammond! That kid ROCKS!

From his myspace page:

Conrad Oberg was born three and a half months prematurely in the Summer of 1994. Weighing only one and a half pounds at birth, "Conrad was left with no eyesight in his left eye and only 15% of the vision in his right. At age two, Conrad taught himself to play the piano, and again taught himself the guitar at age ten. Conrad has been performing solo live performances since he was four years-old, and has been fortunate enough to meet and/or perform with some of the greats of the entertainment industry. Conrad has been performing with his own band for the past four years, playing his own brand of blues, roots, and rock music."

WOW.
