Happy Friday to all my Mofronians!!

And what a gloooorious day it is going to be. Gettin' off work at noon, and we have 70% chance of rain all day/night and Gregg & I are hosting Zachary's pool - s'mores cookin over the bon far - birthday - camping sleep over today. School gets out at 1pm and by 2pm I will have a yard full of boys battling it out with water discs and squirt guns whilst running amuck til sometine tomorrow....so I am not Praying for Rain today.....other wise I will have a house full of boys running amuck.......and that my friends is why God created Mofro and Vino!! They will have the bottom floor to themselves and I am in charge of the music (hee hee) that will be bellowing out of all the speakers thru out the house & yard and yes, yes, yes my friends, JJ Grey & Mofro will be the headlners and all these boys shall go home and relay to their parents the AWESOME music Ms. Perkins played at the party and they will all go out and buy some of thier CDs and the sounds of JJ Grey & Mofro will be heard thru out the mountain lands......

I can dream can I not...

:o)

I will be checking in thru out my day and evening...

Hot damn,
Y'all are makin' me laugh. When I get a chance to listen to one of ya talk, it takes me back to when my Grandfather and Grandmother were alive. He was from Georgia, she Florida, Augusta and St. Pete. respectively. The were the white collar grandparents, my Dad's folks. My Mom's were more the blue collar folks, yet both were hard working, civil, polite, proper, respectful and decent kind of people. My Grandpa Roy, was as much of a Southern Gentleman as I could imagine, and had I only had enough sense to truly appreciate his life as to where he came from, his thoughts, ideas, memories, and his accent, I might have been more deeply rooted in his Southern ways. I miss his telling us as we sat in the backseats of his Lincoln Continetals, "Son, I don' want you to be playin' with those switches for those 'lectric windas." Or, how he would spend hours in the kitchen with his button down collared shirts, slacks, house slippers, manly apron, sleeves rolled up, cuff links off, and prepare a meal either by scratch usually breakfast, or with the pouring over one of his many cookbooks, he would sevre up a restuarant style affair for "Super". He had a different style than my other Grandfather on my My Mom's side, but the two were equal in their talents, gifts, insights, ways, stories, humbleness, love, and kindness to us grandkids when it came to sharing their lives with us. It makes me tear up just to think about them, and to remember the first time I heard JJ introduce and sing "Lachloosa". I know my Grandpa Roy would have loved to sit down and just talk with JJ, and I would have loved just watching the two of them talk, but even more so, just to hear them speak the same language.

Sunshine, I wish everyone on this planet had the outlook on life that you do. I'm sure Gregg and your boys have the same attitude. Your signature is absolutely perfect, "Dance and feel good, there is enough shit in the world, let it all out." I damn sure feel the vibe, I'm feelin fine, and there are good things going on.

Sunshine, I am so very glad that Zach's Birthday Bonfire Bonanza was pulled off without a hitch. I look forward to seeing the photos, you always manage to capture the magic of the moment with your pictures thereby creating indelible and tangible ties to a memory. Your little men are so lucky to have you document their journey through childhood! =) Well I just generally think they are lucky to have you as a mama too! =)

I created a mini slide show...pics are not in any particular order. Some are of the party - pool, eating s'mores, the bon far. We did a run of maters this weeknd, a spider on the pool, "volcano" stuffed (sausage, ground turkey, fresh corn, pepper jack cheese, rice, garlic) peppers, and then the boys each decided to turn their closets into forts.........zach is the one with the long hair and braces.

Here's to another Great Week!!!!
