Hey MarkL, welcome to the fansite! Sunshine is speaking the Truth, I was there and they did play the Truth. By opening for Gomez, it made it a short set, but the guys played great like they always do. You a long time fan of the guys or just recently caught them at the HOB in Dallas?

Hey Sunshine and Delerious-- thanks for the response. Yep, long, long time fan. This particular show was special... See at the Ausint show (we live in Austin) my wife and I ran into JJ and Adam outside the show since we split early cause we only went to see them. Anyway, Truth is my wifes favorite and she asked JJ to play it. He said the band (since the greyhouds were back - my austin boys!!) needed to learn it and would play it in Dallas. We did the entire ru including a night wiht the band I cant describe on this board in Houston! Anyway, when they started to play it in Dallas we could fucking believe it! We were standing right in front of JJ. So...bottom line its a special thang. I didnt see any rig at the show but saw a couple in Austin and figured I would ask around. I have TONS to trade - mostly Dead et al. Anyway, thanks for the response. Much appreciated

I remember before the concert, my girlfriend and I were talking about what songs we thought they would play and which ones they wouldn't. Of course, being that I still have yet to hear it, I was hoping for a Brighter Days, but anyways, I remember specificly talking about The Truth and that they have not played it very often live. I assumed that they would for sure not play that song. Low and behold, they pulled it out, little did I know because of ya'll asking for it. I remember looking at my girlfriend when it started and she had a huge smile but was as shocked as I was that they were playing it. Thanks Mark for that tidbit. It was a great show, all be it short. I am 99% sure there were no tapers there. The House of Blues, or House of Rules, is known for not allowing that very often if at all. It would have taken one hell of a sneak job to set up a rig there. Sucks, I know, but there will be more shows and there will be more tapers at those shows... We gotta just take what we can get.

Hey I let a welcome slip by me. Glad to have you on the board MarkL!
Don't know if you're interested cause you probly already got it but Rhapsody and U.S. Cellular have a deal where they're offering a free download of "The Truth". Alligator Records arranged it and let me know about it last week. I don't know how long it'll be up.
