Hey Sunshine. Go to www.mercylounge.com I have never been there myself. But by looking at the photo gallery of the Cannery Ballroom, it looks bigger than Exit/In (thank God). Some pretty big acts come through there. It might be slightly smaller than the Peel. Are ya'll makin the trip down from the mountains that weekend? It's never too early to start a roll call.

looks like they hold 500 standing room only, I beleive the Peel holds a bit over 900.......I would LOVE to go, just have to try to make it happen.

the cannery is serious old stopmin grounds.
closed down for a long time then reopened as the mercy.

i'd say 500 is s good estimate, though i have never seen that many peeps in there

500 huh? I would think they could bring in 500 at the Cannery. The always pack the house at the Exit/In. Either way, always love catching them at a new venue.

Wow, BamaJam in southern AL on the 4th, Nashville the 5th, then Wakarusa in Ozark, AR on the 6th. They'll certainly be burning rubber that weekend. What a fun little road trip that would be....

I am working on my brother in law for this show. I have sent him multiple CDs and the BSR2 DVD. He lives in Cookeville, TN - equal distance to Chattanooga and Nashville. Gave him the details on both shows and he said, and I quote

"I would like to get the full Mofro experience and it sounds like that would happen at the club in Nashville. Both would be cool. If we do Chattanooga too we could take the kids to the aquarium as well. Could be a fun weekend. "

I like the way you think GTD. Let me make a few phone calls and see what we can do. We need to start getting a head count. It is just over a month away.

Say it ain't so Sunshine? But, family comes first. Will you still be able to make Chattanooga?

To answer your question GTD, I am definitely in. There will be a party of about 6 of us going, including a couple of Mofro virgins. As far as tix at the door, I would buy online just to be safe. You still camping along the way?

Thanks for the support TN. Yes family does come first. I better make the Chatty trip! won't be the same ambience as Nashville, but then again, my kids will be able to see MOFRO perform, and that excites me!! They will then know why, or at least have a window into why thier Mama has been transformed into a Mofrofanatic!!

1. Need to get a roll call here.

2. Somebody(ies) needs to set up a little pre-show party somewhere.

3. Everybody needs to buy TN_Cracka (aka Chris) a beer in celebration of his upcoming nuptials.

4. Everybody needs to be sure that his trophy girlfriend/fiance (aka Tracie) don't drink too much cause if everyone follows step 3 that boy is gonna be druuuuuuunnk and she's gonna need to drive!

Allow me to start the roll call here. I can get a better idea of a pre-show party when we see how many are coming. This may be a dumb question, but Isbell is opening right?
Roll Call:

1) TN_C and Trophy Fiance
2) GTD?

If you want to camp by water, check out Percy Priest Lake. They have campgrounds there. And it's easy access to I-40. Cedars of Lebanon State Park is also right off I-40. It is about 20 miles east of Nashville going towards Ashvegas.

Hey ya'll. Awesome show last night. Once again, they rocked Nashville. Not sure if the trombone player is the same one from Trombone Shorty, but him, Art, and Dennis were on fire. I got video of Brighter Days and Lochloosa and some pretty good pics. I will try to get these and the ones from the Orange Peel show loaded by the end of the weekend.

Where were ya GTD? Wish you could have been there Sunshine.

TN--hey thanks for giving us a breakdown. If it's the same trombone player that was at the Crawfish Fest then it was Van Battle. (There's videos on the Crawfish thread; Van is African American, short and thin.) And he kicks ass. I've seen him play 3 or 4 times with the guys. He's from NY so it made sense for him to sit in at Crawfish (NJ) but he usually doesn't travel with the guys. He and Dennis have been friends for a number of years. Sounds like a great time. Thanks for set list! Still opening with Brighter Days I see. God I hope they keep it on the setlist until Dallas just for Delerious Tyme's sake. Were you dancing on any tables??!
