is your chance to show what you can do with Barbie dolls!
Here's how the contest works y'all. Make your own set, create your own situation*...take a pic and submit it to the contest. Then everybody votes and the top 3 get some cool shit.

The photo situation has to be Mofro related in some way. It does NOT need to be "On Fire" related but can be if'n you want.
Ya ain't gotta go out and spend a bunch of money on new Barbies, although summer is a good time to buy toys at any of the big box retailers. Or you might get some at a Goodwill or Salvation Army or other thrift stores, although your best bet is probably your local flea market (swap meet...whatever they may be called in your parts. They gotta be Barbie and her kin tho, no imitations!)
The possibilities are endless; here's some examples: --use a JJG & M song and put Barbies in a setting like in a jookhouse-- --or around the table eating Granny-Barbie's ho cakes; maybe there's a guy doll with his arm broke off into a nub-- --use an album name-- --band members-- --your favorite venue-- etc.
HOW TO SUBMIT PIC Same way the photo contest was done last year, EXCEPT the photos will not be available for viewing until the day voting begins. I'll be creating a Flickr group page for the contest and you plunk them right there. It's eazy peazy. More to come as soon as I get the page set up.
ENTRY DEADLINE: Your photo must be submitted by August 15, 2009 (if it ain't then you did all that work for nuthin.)
VOTING will begin the next day. All photos will all be put up together at one time for viewing and voting.
RULES:
*"Create your own situation/set" means real, not virtual. Sets created via computer are not allowed.
Theme has to be Mofro related. If somebody's got to stare a long time at it to figure out what it is/how it relates, then no soup for you!
No fakes, only Barbie, Ken, Skipper, etc. Don't be using no Power Rangers.
No video--this is a photo contest.
No photoshopping--this is old fashioned, not new-fangled
Nothing offensive, no porn or sexual activity, nothing related to politics, racism, religion. The line is drawn at the On Fire video. Anything going beyond that is a no-no.
