Hey Skot,

Did you get the 12/31 show on tape as well? I saw you were watching it online so figuring probably not, but maybe you know if someone did or if it will show up on the archive also?

Thanks again man for getting these for all of us and up so fast.

I didn't go on 12/31 so no tape from me. Not sure if there was another taper there, Im thinking not. :( But hopefully its archived on synclive like last year, so better than nothing.

Skot,

Thanks for replying. It looks like synclive has it archived as of now, which is great, hopefully they keep it on there along with the other 2. Was just curious considering he pulled out Gotta Know on the encore and all, but like you said, the video is better than nothing on the synclive. Thanks again for getting the other two shows. I know everyone on here understands and has begun to thank all the tapers for everything you guys do. What I don't think alot of them understand, is that it can and usually does take some of the enjoyment factor for a taper at the show. Being that you guys can't fully enjoy the show as if you were just there to see the show instead of having to worry about your set up, ensuring it it working throughout, etc... I know when I'm at a Mofro show, I don't want to miss a thing, meaning, no bathroom breaks, find a good spot early and don't move, and my eyes never leave the stage. Obviously by taping, that isn't an option for you guys. Sorry that it happens to be that way and much thanks for sacrificing that in order to give us a recording we can all enjoy long after the fact. Much appreciated.

I appreciate the Kind words DT. And if ya think audio taping keeps us busy, think about VIDEO taping the entire show! The good thing is I actually do see every second of the show, but its on tiny little 3 inch screens! Sometimes I have to just zoom out and look up to get a "real" view of the action... That said, I often catch people around me watching my screens instead of the stage! Definitely something fascinating about video. But yeah, now Im running two cams, so not only tending to them but trying to catch all the action and shoot compelling video, on two screens, watching for tape & battery changes... definitely keeps me busy. Thats said I wouldn't change it for the world. John Dude recently told me he feels naked if he's at a show and isn't taping, I totally agree. Taping isn't for everyone, but to those of us that have the bug, its totally addictive. To be able to document such amazing music, man, thats a high in its own right, second only to witnessing the music itself, IMO.

I hear ya on 12/31, I sure would like to have been able to record a modern day Gotta Know. But, I did manage to bring home a nice King Hummingbird, as well as a Tupelo Honey, plus some JAMMIN versions of all the classics, so I ain't complainin'... Of course they *could* play it again Friday in Orlando. A man can wish can't he?

Yes, yes you can wish skotdee!! heck, that is how one makes wonderful and amazing things happen to themselves!!

DT, I would love to see a concert with you! I dew exactly as you, I get my spot in the first row and I will begin standing there and hour before the opening band comes on, because... it will happen....and one never knows....but all of a sudden..... the first 3 rows are occupied.

And as DT stated and very well I might add, I (or should I say we) are very greatful for yours, JD's, Frank's, Ashley's, and all the other taper's dedication, admiration, and love for this (and all others for that matter) band to have the initiative to tape and post the many shows you do!

Good things are goin awn..........

Well, we there are always ways to get what we want, low and behold, check this video out just posted on You Tube. That, and look for Clay on the bottom left, the taper got proof of him waving his hat to the camera for sync live. Great video. Awesome...
