Earlier this year I had the wonderful experience of a shout out from JJ thanking me for the vittles. It was very special to me to be recognized in such a public way!! so much so, that I have that "blurb" at my disposal anytime I wish to remember that exact moment in time, Thank you GTD where ever you are!!

There is just something very special about that eye contact that is made, well to me anyway.

At the Peel in October, I had the amazing experience once again.....nuthin to dew with vittles......and I must thank Mr. Stan for the dual CD to have again at my disposal.

It was during one of my favs, (not hard to do, lol) Move It On.......JJ had his 3 minute talk during the song and it was 7 min and 37 secs into the song....."this is the point we have been working our way to, where we treat the men a little nicer, a little sweeter, a little dirtier, it will be worth it"......(at this point I gave Gregg a kiss on the cheek and JJ said)...."that ain't dirty enough - a kiss on the cheek ain't gonna get it - it's a start - especially if you don't know....(so I planted one on Gregg) "OH, a little smacker on the lips.....I hope you do know....."

there was still more.......he just kept on a talking, I love the way he can speak to an audience.....

I just am invited awl of you to share your JJ experiences too.

I learned a while back that if you make a funny face at Art, as long as he ain't playing at that moment he'll make a funny face back.

Does that count??

I've seen women get right in Daryl's face while he's playing and scream "DAAAAAAARRRRRYYYYYYLLLL!!!!" and he don't even flinch. Does that count?

Ummmmm....I seem to recall JJ giving you a shout at Snook Jam Clay! =)

No, Daryl would have to flinch, have a facial tic or smirk before it would considered "making contact"

I agree with Giggles, a response of some sort is required to be considered "contact"

:o)

I know what you are talking about FireFly, especially in the midst of a three day run when JJ makes mention of the familiar faces in the audience and refers to us as "heavy weights"
At the 930 club where_u_at chanted out a response during Ho Cake and JJ turned toward her smiled, pointed at her and nodded his head.
In one of the versions of Harp & Drums, JJ gives JD a great shout out.
JJ's acknowledged me a few times, but I think it's more some kind of code talk to security so they know where I'm at in the audience in case they need to tackle me!!
