In the spirit of the recent lists, mofro-fanatacism, stats, etc, seems like this one would fit right in. How many times have you seen the band? Whats the most at one venue? State? Etc?

If you need help rememberin', visit here

39 times for me, dating back to 2002. Can't wait for that 40th show... Seems like a lot to me but I know there are some folks here who have seen much more. Im talkin to ya'll John Dude & Liz ;)

Most at one venue: Freebird, 10 times! I know this place gets a bad rap from some, but I swear I love it. Maybe an accquired taste. Wether I'm rockin up front, Hangin on the balcony, or praying to the trash can, it just feels like home to me.

Obviously Florida is the most in one state, in fact, the recent Savannah show was the FIRST and only time I've seen them out of state.

Seen 'em just 13 times.

Most in one venue is a tie for several: 2 at Hal & Mal's, 2 at George's, 2 at The Freebird, 2 at Skippers.

Most in one state: Florida -- 4 times around New Year's 2009.

Number of states where I have seen Mofro: 7

Only three for me so far, but after the May 30th show in NJ and July 24th show at Gathering of the Vibes that will make five. Hopefully there will be a couple more northeast shows before the summer is over.

Not bad for someone who just discovered them a year ago and lives in Albany, NY.

I have seen them 7 times in 31 months which averages out to seeing them every 4.4 months.....not to bad I guess. and hopefully 2 more times this summer for the Nashville & Chattanooga shows and that would make seeing them every 3.7 months, better yet!!

Hey y'all,
Been working alot & just checked this thread. I dig it. It's crazy when I look at the shows I've been to.
GTD, can you post a link to the 2008-2009 shows you have...I want to get an accurate count

I didn't see a few shows in the tour archive:
St. John's County Fair w/Willie Green
Private Show @ Hal & Mal's in Mississippi w/JC's
just to name a few, don't remember dates

I hear ya, i have a problem with passive crowds too, seems like the only way to get away from it is to be all the way in front, but that's not always possible.
the only excuse for someone to be texting would be a mofrofan sending clay the setlist.

Ok...I counted 'em up. Many folks here have seen MOFRO years before I have: Skotdee, Stan, Hollis, Klowe, Danny(MOFROTM), etc...
My first show was March 8,2003 @ the first LANGERADO.
Since then I've seen MOFRO 118 times!

I'm proud to announce that my best friend/roomate/tour partner LIZ a.k.a. where_u_at's first show was Jan 21,2005 and she's seen them 122 times!!!!

While Danny has seen them over 200 times(being tour manager helps) I'd say that LIZ is by far the most dedicated/addicted SWAMPFUNKJUNKIE on this board.

Anybody else seen MOFRO over 100 times?

What a great thread. Lots of fun reading thru these. Damned GTD's gonna use up all my bandwidth. (Kidding, it's great!)

I've been waiting for JohnDude and Liz to give us their count. I knew their numbers would be HUGE. I am not surprised they're over 100. estanley has the perfect sentiment. The only thing I don't understand is...how did you let Liz slip ahead of you by 4? No doubt she IS the winner!!

I've got a total of 33 (the trophy wife with 32; there was that time I kicked her out of the car for spilling crumbs...but we don't like to talk about that.)

First time was Tropical Heatwave in Ybor City, May 3, 2003. Bit of a break until we saw them again on Oct 27, 06 at the Orange Peel. Speaking of which, GTD, it seems that one's missing from above. I got the stub and even got a cute witness. She's about a dozen years my junior and still has all her brain cells. She says we were there and I tend to believe her. (She's been known to pull my leg tho, so ya never know.)

Well, I've added it up in my head and there were some blurry recollections, but I think it's been 16 times:

Zydeco 1, Workplay 1, Music Midtown 1, Freebird 4, George's Spring Jam 1, Smith's 4, Variety 4 or more....

I need to branch out more and see them in more places....maybe that Charlotte show in Sept? Dang they aren't playing around the South enough this summer.

Venue I most want to see Mofro - Tractor Tavern in Seattle - hey, that show in August in Seattle is a definite possibility!!! I've been wantin' to get back there for a long time......

Only 6 shows for me, 4 in Nashville, and 2 road trips, St. Louis at The Duck Room and of course, The Peel. I will get 2 more in this summer. My next road trip will either be to Atlanta or Florida, would love to see them at the H.O.B. in Orlando. Nuthin better than a weekend Mofro road trip.

TN, I'm with Mr. Kelley on that one...nice and roomy, huge stage, but it feels like there might be one Mickey Mouse too many up in there...weird vibe. Nothing WRONG with it I guess, just not enough right. The place ain't got no SOUL.

EDIT - BUT, the gents did sell a butt load of tickets that night...so, it's a Home Run in that aspect. Gotta give a little to get a little.

Be careful Clay about visiting the NW - growing up in Florida, I always wanted to see what the direct opposite side of the country had to offer. Well, let's just say that it offers a lot. Beautiful vistas, good coffee, great music, great food, mild temperatures, interesting people, and good clean air.

Seattle is a wonderful city. I hope to visit Portland and Vancouver someday.....

Every Aug/Sept I fly into Seattle and make the two hour trek along the Cascades to camp in George, Washington and catch some shows at the Gorge Ampitheatre. Everything that SC says is true, it is a truly spectacular place!

Days of rain, yes the NW has more. Inches of rain the South has more. Atlanta gets about 10 more inches of rain than Seattle does - it just gets it in bigger doses.

I bet though that it can be depressing in some ways to not see the sun for a week.....

14, at:
Bamboo Room
City Limits
Culture Room
Skipper's
Sarasota Blues Fest
Wash DC (don't know venue name)
Denver
I guess 16, if I count the two shows JJ came alone for the NO benefit shows at Bamboo. Now THOSE were some rockin' shows.

Sorry, posted before I noticed the "page 2." Didn't catch the change in tone. On that, been to the NW several times, and one of these days I just might buy the 1-way to Eugene, OR. Great vibe, pubs, fishin',and just a hop away from the Cascades. My liver alone gained 40 pounds at Autz. stadium watching the Ducks.

Ive been a fan since '01 when I was going to school in Tallahassee.
Cowhaus (1), Beta Bar (3), Club DownUnder (1), TCC (1)

Then after I moved to Tampa in the end of '06. Ive caught just about every show a Skipper's (5) since. I caught them at the Sarasota Blues Fest in '08.

So by my count that makes an even dozen. Ive only seen them in Florida. Id like to see them a lot more but I dont really get a chance to move around and see shows. Unfortunately I have to wait for them to come to me.

My favorite place to see them is the SkipperDome. There is always an energy there you can feel. The only way I can really describe it is, its like being at your best friends backyard, watching a show. I dont know if its that the stage looks like someone's back deck, or the open air, with the huge oak trees surrounding the place or its the picnic tables ? I think the band loves playing there too. JJ has said The Dome is, "their home away from home." If anyone wants to see them in FLA, I highly suggest Skipper's
